To get the most out of the Hair Kit, it’s recommended that you use the treatments included in the Kit on a daily basis. Daily use of the Hair Kit will allow you to maintain the hair you regrow during treatment. It will also help you to maintain scalp coverage for as long as you use the Kit.

If you decide to stop using the Kit, it’s likely that you’ll lose the hair you regrew during treatment within three to four months. Therefore, continuous use is recommended for the best results.

How long does it take for the Hair Kit to work?

Is the Hair Kit suitable for everyone?

Like most medications, the Hair Kit isn’t suitable for everyone and a clinician will have to assess your circumstances to select the hair loss treatment that’s safest and most effective for you.

You should not use the Hair Kit if you:

Are allergic to minoxidil.
Are allergic to finasteride
Have high blood pressure.
Have scalp conditions (e.g. psoriasis) or sunburn.
Are younger than 18 or older than 65.
Taking certain medications (e.g. corticosteroids, tretinoin, dithranol, petrolatum, or guanethidine).
Whilst you are trying for a baby.
If you are already taking a 5α-reductase inhibitor (e.g. dutasteride) for an enlargement of the prostate gland (benign prostatic hyperplasia [BPH]) or any other condition.
If you are biologically female (as defined on your birth certificate). This is because finasteride is ineffective in women.

Is the Hair Kit a cure for baldness?

If you’re experiencing the symptoms of male pattern hair loss (e.g. thinning hair, a balding crown, a receding hairline) then the Hair Kit may be an effective hair loss treatment for you but no medicine for hair loss is guaranteed to work for everybody who uses it.

It should also be noted that no medicine for hair loss is a permanent cure for baldness. Firstly, this is because the chances of experiencing hair loss naturally increase with age. Secondly, the beneficial effects of hair loss medication last for as long as you use it. If you stop using the hair loss treatments provided in the Hair Kit, it’s likely that any hair you regrow during treatment will be lost within three to four months.

If you’re completely bald and have been for a long time, it’s unlikely that the Hair Kit will be an effective hair loss treatment for you.

As hair regrowth is a gradual process, there’s likely to be little change for the first month or two when you start using the Hair Kit. Some people may experience hair shedding in these initial months, but this is normal and temporary.

After two to four months, hair loss should start to slow down and newly regrown hair should begin to emerge. Initial hairs may be soft and light at the start, but should eventually become the same as normal hair.

Beyond four months, hair loss should slow significantly and thicker, denser-looking hairs should begin to fill in patches of thinning hair. Scalp coverage should noticeably improve and hairs should look stronger and healthier.
