Wegovy can be a powerful ally for weight loss, but its effectiveness hinges on correct usage.

Here are 4 tips for how and when to take Wegovy.

1. Stick to the schedule

Consistency is key. Choose a specific day of the week as your 'Wegovy day' and stick to it religiously. Whether you inject it first thing on a Monday morning or have Wegovy Wednesday, integrating it into your routine is crucial. Remember, you can administer Wegovy with or without food and drink.

2. How much to inject

Your Wegovy dosage will gradually increase each month. The regimen typically starts at 0.25mg, increasing to 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg, and eventually to the maintenance dosage of 2.4mg, usually reached after 16 weeks of treatment.

Always consult the dosage information on your medication's label, injection pen, or within the treatments section of your Numan account. Consult a clinician if you have doubts about the dosage.

Should you feel the 2.4mg dose isn't effective, contact our clinical team through the app for guidance.

3. Managing missed doses

If less than 5 days have passed since a missed dose, take it as soon as you remember. Then, continue with your next dose as originally scheduled. (For example, if you take it on Wednesday usually and forget, but then take it on Friday, the next week should go back to Wednesday as scheduled.)

If it's been more than 5 days, skip the missed dose. Don’t double up - just proceed with your next scheduled dose.

4. Handling overdoses

If you accidentally take more Wegovy than prescribed, contact your doctor immediately. Overdosing may lead to side effects like nausea. Prompt communication with your healthcare provider is essential in such scenarios.

The numan take

Effective use of Wegovy demands discipline and attention to detail. Stick to your schedule, understand your dosage, and know what to do in case of missed or excess doses. When in doubt, consult one of our clinicians.
