Aaron’s 6-month hair regrowth story

By Kirsty Mason

It’s a myth that hair loss is untreatable. But the sooner you take action, the better. We spoke to Numan customer, Aaron, 30, about his journey using the Complete Hair Kit. This treatment combines both finasteride and minoxidil - two science-backed methods for treating hair loss.

Aaron’s hair story

I started to notice hair loss about four years ago. I think a lot of it was down to stress. After having a bath or shower, my partner would notice a lot of hair was coming out. I didn’t think much of it at first. I actually just thought it was just normal. It was probably during lockdown when I started to notice it more and found much larger clumps of hair coming out. I asked my partner to take a picture of the back of my head as I was starting to panic. When I saw the photograph, I was gobsmacked at how much had gone.

It affected my mental health and made me really self-conscious. Being so young, you don’t expect your hair to fall out so much. I was worried that it was a more serious health-related condition. There were times when I would wear a hat everywhere I went cos I was really self-conscious. It was right on the crown of my head. People would ask me why I was wearing a hat indoors. I just didn’t feel confident enough to go out without it on. At some points, I didn’t even want to leave the house. I know it sounds a bit weird - why would you not go out just cos you’re losing your hair? But like I say, for a 30-year-old to be experiencing hair loss, it doesn’t feel nice.

My partner is a nurse. She came across Numan and read lots of positive reviews. I decided it was worth giving it a go. I was told that it would take about five or six months for it to start showing. And it was spot on. It was around six months when I really noticed that the hair growth was coming back.

At the beginning, you do tell us it could get worse before it gets better. And for the first two or so months, I think it was coming out quite a bit more. But I was willing for that to happen as obviously it was going to get better afterwards - and it did. So I was a bit scared that it was still coming out, I won’t lie. But the end goal was more important to me.

My biggest tip is to just trust the process because it does work. If you’re doing it properly - taking the medication and the spray - that’s when it’s going to work. If you’re just picking and choosing when to take it then you won’t get the same results. But that’s my biggest tip - trust the process.
