A VBT is a blood test drawn from a vein, used to accurately measure testosterone levels in the bloodstream. It provides a detailed analysis of your hormonal health as well as other relevant biomarkers that help us to assess which treatment will be most appropriate for you.
Common symptoms include erectile dysfunction, fatigue, muscle weakness, depression, and difficulty concentrating. If you experience any of these symptoms, a VBT can help determine whether low testosterone is a contributing cause.
Hormone health blood tests help you to understand what impact your hormones might be having on your overall health and wellbeing. The tests can identify potential hormone abnormalities and give you a better understanding of why you might not be feeling your usual self.
Each blood test is easy to use, even if you’ve never used a home blood test kit before.
It only takes a small amount of preparation to successfully collect a blood sample and all the equipment you need to do so is included in the kit.
A summary of how to use the tests:
Wash your hands in warm water for 4 minutes and then dry them.
Use the lancet provided to prick your finger and collect a blood sample.
Post your sample to our accredited partner laboratory using the prepaid envelope included with your test.
Full instructions are provided with your test, which you should read thoroughly before use to ensure the best results.

You should receive your blood test results three to five working days after you post your blood samples.
You’ll get an email notifying you that your results have arrived in your Numan account, so keep an eye on your inbox so you don’t miss them. Additionally, you’ll receive a written review of your results from one of our clinicians, which you can read alongside your results to help you understand them.
Once they’re in your account, you can view your results any time you wish. You can also view them in-app and save your results as a PDF to help you keep track of them (and show them to your GP if need be).
Yes. The hormone health blood tests are designed to be taken at home without professional supervision. Just follow the instructions in the kit and post your sample back to us using the prepaid envelope.
Click ‘learn more’ on each test to understand the key benefits and what biomarkers the kit tests for. From here, you’ll see the difference between each test and can select the one that most accurately aligns with your health status and goals.
Each test is a finger prick test, so you may feel a small scratch when you use the lancet provided with it to take a blood sample. This is only temporary, and any discomfort should subside swiftly afterwards.
The hormone health blood tests can only indicate rather than diagnose health issues. If you’re worried and suspect you might have an underlying health condition, we advise speaking to your regular doctor first. If you get any unexpected or unusual test results, this should also be flagged and discussed in more detail with your doctor.
Support your libido, sex drive, and sexual health.
